Telehealth uses secure electronic communication to deliver care remotely. Evaluation, prescribing decisions, and follow-up may take place by secure messaging, video, or phone through the clinical platform.

Benefits and limitations

Telehealth improves access and convenience. It also has limits: a provider cannot perform a hands-on physical examination remotely, and some conditions require in-person evaluation or referral.

Your rights

Participation is voluntary. You may withdraw consent at any time and request in-person care instead. Withdrawing consent does not affect your right to future care.
